Scholarships

We fund scholarships to provide access to school and college education for low-income, meritorious students.

1st PROGRAM:

I CAN ” EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS ” :

Our goal is to help students realize their education and career dreams. We provide financial assistance in the form of a scholarship cum interest free loan to meritorious students to pursue their further education.

Eligibility

• · Student should have secured the following minimum marks in Class 12:
  • o State Board: 75%
  • o C.B.S.E: 70%
• · Monthly household income is less than Rs. 15,000

Structure

The total amount is broken up into 2 parts:

50% as a scholarship and

The other 50% as an interest free loan to be repaid back to the I CAN Trust within 7 years of completing a graduate program and 5 years of completing a post graduate program.

How will it be paid?

• The amount will be paid directly to the College/University.
• The student will be eligible for an extension for the following years after a review of his/her yearly marks cards.

Documents to be submitted

1. Proof of residence Xerox copies of Ration Card or Voters Identity Card or Passport or Electricity or Telephone bill 2. Academic record Copy of the XIIth std marks 3. Family Income Salary certificate/Pension certificate/Auditor’s certificate in case of business category/IT return filed/any other proof for the income stated 4. Fee structure Letter/Certificate from the College/University. 5. Admission Admission letter/Bonafide student certificate from the College/University.

2nd  PROGRAM:

I CAN : for  ” EARLY START ”  SCHOLARS

We provide financial assistance to meritorious, low-income students in grades 6 – 12 to pursue their further education.

Eligibility

• · Student should have secured the following minimum marks in the previous grade
  • Ø State Board: 75%
  • Ø C.B.S.E: 70%
• · Monthly household income is less than Rs. 10,000

The Scholarship will be awarded to meritorious students towards covering the full tuition cost for one year in any school of their choice in the city.

The scholarship will be extended for the following year provided the student is able to achieve a better grade.

Family Income Salary certificate/Pension certificate/Auditor’s certificate in case of business category/IT return filed/any other proof for the income stated 4. Fee structure Letter/Certificate from the School 5. Admission letter (if applying to a new school) Admission letter/Bonafide student certificate from the School that student wishes to enroll in.

How will it be paid?

The scholarship amount will be paid directly to the school.
